Zero. It's been almost 6 months now, and I'm still single. I have surpassed the 3 month rule, and I'm presently dating no one. I like how it feels to be owned by no one. I don't want to be anybody's girlfriend and would like to stay free from commitments as of the time being. I am open for dating, it's just that no one's ever too brave to make a move. Haha! Being in a relationship isn't a solution to my problem, but I want someone who could make me change my mind. Bold enough to make me say yes. After all, I just want someone real.
Thanks to Miss Anna Cosio, for her blog's enlightenment. Now I, too, can honestly write about "how to move on" with experience to back me up and without the guilt of hypocrisy.
1. Pray. Just when you thought he was your answered prayer, he became the worst dream come true. So don't pray for someone new. Pray for someone better.
2. Make a list of the things you don't like about your ex. When you're missing the good times, read about the bad times.
3. Be busy. Go online everyday, shop, study, etc. Do things and go to places that would NEVER remind you of him. There would be times when you feel like missing him, just don't over react. That's just normal, specially if you shared years of memories.
4. Tear letters and shred pictures. You're not going to torture yourself reading those love letters and looking at those Neo-prints over and over again, are you?
5. Reformat your phone. Reformat your laptop. Reformat your heart. Have a fresh start.
6. Do something that you've never done before. Go out and push yourself to your limits.
7. Avoid going to places where there are too many memories of the two of you together. Find a new "happy place."
8. Don't go emo! Get rid of your playlist of "senti" music and make a new one entitled "Feel Good."
9. Meet new people. Make new friends, whether they are of the opposite sex or not. Rekindle old friendships and start new friendly relationships. You will never know who's gonna be your "next".
10. Look gorgeous. Let him see his loss. Hahaha.
Remember, nothing happens the same way twice. So learn from your mistakes.
