Experience, they say, is the best teacher. More often than not, we face life's challenges with one eye alone (because the other one wants to spare us from seeing what it doesn't want to see). Have you ever heard of the song "Everybody knows" by John Legend? (IF not, then listen to it now!) The song talks about how it is to end a relationship. You can get advice from everybody else. Everybody thinks they know what's going on, but nobody really knows. And it's really just saying, 'We all go through these things', but you don't really know what someone else is going through unless you are them. I made a list of the lessons I have learned in my 19 years of life.. Not because I am always right, but because I have many experiences of being wrong. :) I'll just update the list every now and then. The hardest lesson in life is learning how to unlearn the things wrongly learned.
It gets hard to alter the things you used to do into something you should be doing. Change, indeed, can't happen overnight.
Lots of people don't know how to spell commitment.
..because most of them are scared of the word itself. Choose wisely.
If you can't change the person, change the situation.
Picture this out. When you shop inside an Appliance Center and buy an Electric Fan, don't expect that when you reach your home, it would become an Air-conditioner. People change, yes. They may change for a moment, then for another moment, as with another moment, and for the next waking moment. Accept that, change is constant. So don't try to force change. If a person changes for your preference, be thankful. If s/he doesn't, you may either change your way of thinking or leave the person. When you oppose the direction of the wind, you become prone to breakage. On the contrary, be open for change. When someone you love gives you criticisms, listen. After all, you wouldn't fall in love with a fool who would make a fool of you.
You can do anything, but you can't do everything.
Absolutely true. You can never be in two places at the same time. Unless you're Jamie Sullivan.
When you get too attached, you get a loose.
The irony of life. Take a tight grasp of a glass of wine. The glass will be broken, the wine will
be spilled out, you will be wounded. What's left? Your grasp, holding nothing but broken pieces.
The hardest things to say are those meant dearly.
When you mean the words you say, you get scared of saying it.
Life gives you SIGNS.
When you're stuck and stranded, you realize you had been warned many times but you refused to listen. The first time life threw crumpled papers at you, you didn't mind. So, it threw balls at you. Again, you didn't mined. It threw stones. You didn't mind. It threw blocks of rocks and now you realize you should have paid attention to the crumpled papers thrown at you. Lesson: Take time to listen to what the world says to you. When you think you know everything and talk about everything, you hear nothing.
Love is unexplainable. If you can explain it, it's not love.
That's how I define love. No no why's, no how's. Just "who".
